What a great afternoon we had on the Mountains Tales Katoomba Story Tour! 
Sue is an brilliant presenter, passionate about the history she generously unfurls along the way and a captivating storyteller. I love Katoomba and thought I knew it's story but now I understand so much more - some intriguing details and why, for example, we have so many Art Deco buildings still standing. It's had me thinking about it ever since. I highly recommend the tour for locals and visitors, it was thoroughly entertaining and illuminating.

This is my first visit to Australia. Katoomba was recommended by a friend and was a fun journey from Sydney. I spent the day walking about on my own, enjoying the town and Echo Point but I am so glad I booked a tour with Mountain Tales. Sue made the town come alive with her stories, rich with history and great insights. I enjoyed her explanations of how Katoomba came to be, its boom and all the services that local entrepreneurs created for the tourists and why things changed. What a fantastic experience! Having recently moved to the Blue Mountains, I regularly walk the streets of Leura but had never considered the history, challenges or why this country town is different from others. The tour was relaxed, engaging, and packed with information. Sue is an amazing historian, humorous and entertaining. New to living in the mountains and wanting to know more about where we live we decided to do the Leura walk with Sue. Absolutely fantastic.  

Sue has a passion for local history and will take you on a magical journey back in time.  On a lovely tour throughout town you will see theatres, pubs, and street corners come to life as if you were actually there in 1910.

It was fantastic, and I highly recommend the tour.
The walking is easy and well paced. 
If you are visiting the area and love Australian history (or history in general) there is no better way than to join Sue and discover the fascinating story behind the making of an iconic Blue Mountains town.
The best part for me was discovering Leura's hidden gems. 
Sue is an excellent guide....at the end of the walk, I wanted more and so will also do her Katoomba tour.
